DESIGN CHALLENGE
Rebrand a chosen hotel. Use a comprehensive design process including research, analysis, business strategy, and organization to create a brand identity program. Design the primary identity and apply it to a variety of brand touch points across media. Design a brand identity to understand who the brand is, what they stand for, and what they promise to deliver. Specify how to publish and fabricate elements of the brand identity system. This will guide how branded marketing materials are conceived and produced in the future.

PROCESS
I designed a logo for a hotel on the secluded east coast of Mauritius, an oasis of relaxation. Inspired by the serene images of the hotel, I chose the word "fresh," replacing the "s" with a "z" from the French word frais to honor the local language. The brand’s identity focuses on renewal, with the tagline "Wonder and Refresh" reflecting the hotel as an escape from daily life.

To capture the hotel’s essence, I studied its photos and experimented with typefaces that echoed the long, fluid lines in the imagery. The organic, clean font and a color palette of warm orange and light lime green, inspired by the hotel's architecture and nature, evoke both elegance and rejuvenation. The final logo, featuring "FRAIZ" and the tagline, was applied to business cards and mockups, bringing the concept to life in a simple, yet sophisticated design.
